Pick up in the rain

Well boys and girls, time for another of my infrequent posts. Today I had to pick up my NT700V from Bangor Motor Sports. It was in for service. Nothing drastic, just the 8000 mile service and I got new tires. The old tires were the originals. They were badly worn and I was in serious need of replacements. I went with Michelin PR2s. I'll let you know how they work out. Also my wife had ordered a new windshield for the Savage. As the time to depart for the pickup approached, I explained to here that as it was raining, she could drive me over in the car and that we could go another day to have her windshield installed. We she wasn't going to let 54° and rain stop her. I always like to keep my Frogg Toggs with the bike in case of rain, but my bike was at the shop. Thankfully my Olympia Airglide 3 jacket has a waterproof liner and the trousers of my golf rain suit were not other wise being used. Suzie also suited up in waterproofs and we headed out. I had only two complaints. My "water proof" boots leaked and my face shield fogged up. Otherwise no issues. It took a few minutes to get the windshield on the bike and when we headed for home the rain had quit. Because of my wet feet I got a bit cold but am fully recovered.
